Currently Listening To – The Wedding – Staring at the Light
The last two days my cooperating teacher has been ill and out of the “office”. So I have had subs their with me for legal reasons. Yesterday a young gal was the sub. She was a fellow believer and it was awesome. We agreed on a lot of teaching topics as well as talk church and scripture for sometime. It was comforting to know more people in the school system have faiths and are open about them. I seem to be going into a profession with history and many “historic” people in them. As the young buck I am, I struggle to relate to the older, wiser generation on every topic.
Well today I had an older gal as the sub and it was awkwardly weird. She had to have been mid-50’s but acted like a 7th grader. She was very warm and nice; but occasionally annoying. She tended to talk down to myself and lacked “passion” and patients for the students. Do get me wrong i had a fabulous day and she did teach me a thing or two about teaching. I guess i just felt “awkward at school today.
Question: Any one have any favorite scripture to help me with acceptance, grace, and patients?
I just hate having these ill feelings about a sister in Christ. I don’t want to think less of her just appreciate her for who the sub if!

Interesting. I was out at one of our locations for work and found out one of the managers was an on fire christian! It was very relieving and encouraging to see a passionate man after God’s heart in the business world!
Anyway… I think some good scripture to look at how Jesus go along with tax collectors and the like. Also 1 John talks about it quite a bit very forcefully 1 John 3, 1 John 4:7ff and 1 John 4:19ff…. If we don’t love we don’t know God?
